Understanding META Tags

Not all web pages have META tags and not all search engines use META tags. So why have META tags?

Consider how a search engine survives. They survive when they deliver web pages which answer a user’s search words. Search words help search engines know which search words your pages belong to.

Remember, META tags tell search engines where YOU would like to have your web pages come up. It is your chance to talk to the search engines.
