Website Update by Email
Developing Wings has worked hard to support our local communities. Arlee shares one website (http://www.arleemontana.org/) for group information. We maintain the structure, the different groups add information to their areas. We had several challenges
- Most volunteers are people who like to help other people. They are not usually the 'geeky' type. Updating a website is not their favorite thing to do.
- They do not use the website enough to remember how to update the site. Tutorials help, but it takes time.
- Changes to the website (updates) confused them.
Something needed to change. With some research we found a way for the different groups to email their news stories in. We help set up the static pages. Each section then has a 'news' page. The news page is a chronological (newest at the top) list of updates.

- The email updates can be imported in as different data types in Drupal.
This was the first week of training the brave volunteers on how to use the system. Bugs were limited and easily fixed. It will be interesting to see how this affects the website as a whole. Once our first batch of volunteers is confident they can help us train the rest and offer support.
